Theo lived with his grandfather until his enlistment. He trained in England for a half year. Served at Soerabaja, Indonesiƫ in 1947.

Theo would visit his sister, Leonarda (Lou) in Djakarta during his enlistment.
Ted Verheul died April 11. He is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, North Bay, Ontario, blocks L to M.
Ted's hobby was painting.
