ELLWOOD, William "Bill" Allan Almost made it to 101 yrs; passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at Extendicare Tecumseh. Beloved husband and best friend of 69 yrs to Marie (nee Garant) Born on February 7, 1906 and son of the late Amos (1955) and Cecile (nee Emery) (1978) Dearest father of John (Grace), Orville (Marie) - Leamington, Richard (late June), Bernadette Casey - Sprucedale, Theresa "Terry" Beneteau (Paul), Dolores Shaw (Russell) - Orleans, Allan (Anne) - Tilden Lake, Marilyn Maddison (Michael), Thomas (Geraldine) - Leamington. Dear brother of Gordon (Gladys), Norma (late George) Voros, Violet (Van) Robert, Gladys (John) Richards, Gloria (Bob) Hiscott - High River, Alb. And the late Florence Minello, Theresa Reeves, Harry, Oliver, Walter, Stanley, Russell, Pearl and Margaret. Best Pepe to 24 grandchildren, Pepe to 36 great grandchildren, and great great Pepe to 10. Bill was retired from Ford Motor Company after 42 1/2 yrs of service. He was self-taught and mastered many things including furniture restoration, upholstery, auto mechanics, etc; and enjoyed many activities walking, bowling, cribbage and growing roses. He was a past member of the Golden Age Club with his wife at Most Precious Blood Church. Resting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East on Thursday from 7-9 pm and Friday from 2-5 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service Saturday January 6, 2007 at 11:00 am In the Chapel. Rev. Ken Boudreau officiating. Cremation to follow. Special thanks to all the wonderful caring and compassionate nurses, caregivers, staff and friends at Extendicare Tecumseh who carried us through this most difficult time.
