"Circle of Daniel Gardner (1750-1805) and Hugh Douglas Hamilton (1740-1808) ‘Captain Lorenzo Moore’ (1744-1798) 3rd Regiment of Horse (until 1776) and his wife ‘Mrs Lorenzo Moore’ (1753-1840) (nee Henrietta Janssen) Possibly painted to celebrate their marriage in 1774. Both graphite and pastel on paper. 24×20 cms. Original oval frames with inner slips. Inscribed verso of frames.
