After Immigrating from Canada to the USA in 1920, Edward lived with the Beurjey Family and worked in the woods, cutting timber a few years in the Michigamme area of the U.P. He then moved to Milwaukee Wi. where he met and married Mary Pirlot. He worked a few years in Milwaukee driving a delivery truck for the Pabst Brewery, and Then moved back to the U.P. of Michigan and Homesteaded property in Hardwood, Mi. Working the property as a farm,and then working in the Ship yards in Sturgeon Bay Wi. for a short time and then back at the Ford Plant in Kingsford during WW ll, building Gliders for the war effort. After that he returned to working in the woods as a independent Logger, cutting and hauling pulp to the Paper Mills until his retirement. |
